Privacy policy

Effective 2026-10-01. How Portico Technologies LLC handles personal information on porticodesk.com and in Portico Desk.

Two companies see your data

Portico runs the platform and your account. The licensed Brokerage you buy from lists your property and is responsible for the listing, the documents you sign with it and the payment it takes. Each Brokerage has its own privacy policy for what it does:

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email, phone and, if you give them, a company name and mailing address.
  • Addresses you look up and property details you enter, including the legal owner's name and state-required disclosures.
  • Documents you upload: photos, proof of ownership or identity, deeds, surveys, reports, and written authorizations.
  • Signed agreements and disclosures, with the time and email address of each signature.
  • Payment records: what you bought, from which Brokerage, when, and the last four digits and brand of the card. Full card numbers are held by Stripe, never by us.
  • Basic technical data such as your IP address and browser, for security and to keep you signed in.

How we use it

  • To route an address to the Brokerage that lists there and to run your account across Brokerages.
  • To prepare, send and store the documents you sign, and to pass your listing to the Brokerage's coordinators.
  • To process payments to the Brokerage and Portico's software fee, and to issue receipts.
  • To email you about your listings and your account.
  • To meet record-keeping obligations and the MLS rules that apply to the Brokerage.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

Who sees it

  • The Brokerage that lists your property, and the coordinators who work on its behalf.
  • The MLS and the listing websites it feeds, which publish the property details and photos, not your account details.
  • Buyers and their agents, who see the showing contact you put on the listing.
  • Service providers that run the platform: Stripe (payments), Documenso (electronic signatures), Resend (email), Supabase and Vercel (hosting), Google (address search and maps). Each receives only what its job needs.
  • A brokerage or partner whose link brought you to us, which is told that an account or listing came from it.
  • Anyone we are required by law or a court to give it to.

How long we keep it

Signed agreements, disclosures and transaction records are kept for as long as the Brokerage's licensing rules require, typically three years after the transaction closes or the listing ends. Other account data is kept while your account is open and deleted or anonymised within a reasonable time after you close it, unless we must keep it for the reasons above.

Your choices

You can see and change your account details in the platform at any time. To get a copy of the personal information we hold, correct it, or ask us to delete what we are not required to keep, email logan@porticodesk.com from the address on your account. We reply within 30 days.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to people who need it, and card details never touch our systems. No online service is perfectly secure; tell us at once if you think your account has been used without your permission.
